Work and Play and Everything in Between
Once upon a time I kept a blog because I had a cool job. Now there's just no excuse for it.

Ah, what a yucky day in so many ways. It's raining out and very dreary which makes we want to take a nap. But instead of napping, I got to wade around in the rain and take the DGA Training test. To top it all off, I was SOOOO intelligent last night and got VERY drunk, which later ended in me getting sick. (To my credit, I didn't drink all that much... it must have been the lack of dinner) The test was at 8 this morning and I really think I was still drunk through most of it. Which is not really the state someone whould be in when they are taking a timed critical thinking test. Oh well, I think I may have blown my chance at getting in and that makes me pretty upset with myself. Nothing I can do but wait, so might as well not dwell on it, right? Who knows, maybe I even scored better. =)

I DID have fun last night though so all is not wasted. Met a few new people and got to hang out with some friends from work. I was really drunk and tired. I hope they dont think I am some crazy drunk chick that cant hold my liqour. (Last night I was, which is sad! At least they didn't get to witness the resurrection of those drinks) SO anyway.... Had a subway sandwich and realized that I dont miss them all that much. When Sarah and Ginger return from Vegas I think we are all going to start induction again and lose a few pounds. At least I know now that when I crave a subway it's defentiely not worth it.

Totally forgot to mention what I got to do Friday afternoon, so I am updating this entry. Normally the script interns get to do this, but one of them wasn't around so the other came and got me. Its simple really, but the whole expereince was surreal. Conan does his monologue jokes backstage to gauge for laughs and then cuts what he think bombs, ect. Well, I got to go back there and was one of the people he read the jokes to. There's actually important reason to be there, but I'll get to it later. Anyways, before I walked back there, Jen says, "you have to laugh, NO MATTER WHAT!" Apparently if there's no laughing, he gets mad and then he "has a bad show". He did his jokes, all was well and I didn't have to force any laughter cause they were funny jokes anyways. My main job was to write down the order of the jokes as he said them and then take it back to Allan, the director, so he can know what's going on. So that's my story, I talked to Conan 30 seconds before he went on for the show. I may bitch and moan about this internship, but there are some moments that will definitely last with me forever.
