Work and Play and Everything in Between
Once upon a time I kept a blog because I had a cool job. Now there's just no excuse for it.

God bless New York City. I never thought I would be so amazed by the sights, sounds and weirdos that New York holds. I cant walk 3 blocks without seeing someone yelling to themselves " Fuck ______ (enter mexicans, blacks, whites, asians, green men, whatever) , guys wearing signs that say "Kill the aliens that are capturing our minds: Big Brother is watching!" or a group of 4 - 5 NYC Emergency Patrol Police with semi-automatic weapons. And I saw all of the above within a few short minutes this afternoon. I hope I never become jaded to the point of accepting these fools as normal. I'm not really calling New York's Finest with machine guns fools, but it is a weird site none the less.

Bought groceries for Conan today. I made a promise to my intern friend, Jim, that when I become rich and famous I will ALWAYS concider the elements before I send one of my own interns on stupid errands like purchasing LOW fat lemon yogurt or high grain bread with no more than 45 calories per slice. I'm not really complaining about the actual errand, cause I mean, who all has the opportunity in life to purchase Balsamic Vinegar for a host of a TV show. It's more the principal.. some people tend to forget that we just had one of the East coast's worst blizzards in 100 years or something.

Seeing Beck sing more than made up for the morning though. I have never been all that much a fan, but he performed today with just his voice, a guitar, and a harmonica and it was absolutely amazing. I will be working in the control room until the 3rd of March and then I will move into the talent intern position. At least that's how's it's going to go as of now, but with all this drama and Mike being too arrogant to see that they dont like him, who knows what will eventually happen. I really like it in the control room, even though I don't do a lot of work. It's more the expereince of being down there and being with the director and producers, seeing the rehearsals, watching Conan and the writers decide what is going to work in the show and what's cut... it's just an amazing. I am very blessed for being given this opportunity, no matter how much I complain about balsamic vinegar.
