Work and Play and Everything in Between
Once upon a time I kept a blog because I had a cool job. Now there's just no excuse for it.

You have to wonder sometimes who makes the big decisions when it comes to things like war, space travel, and most importantly public transportation. My morning commute to the city was probably one of the most miserable experiences of my life. Ask Ginger, all I could say was, "Why?" because I was profoundly confused. Why *YOU* may ask? Well, some people felt that it was not necessary to run the Path trains into the city at full capacity (only every 15 min, the weekend schedule) even after the mayor held a press conference last night and told people specifically that the best way to travel in Blizzard 2003 is by public transportation. Maybe the major decision makers at the path felt that since there was so much snow, so much that people's cars are completely encased in snow, most people would be using their vehicles to commute to the city. That being said, I am probably making a total ass out of myself and there is probably a much better explaination. Needless to say, there were more people than trains this morning, so bad that I had to wait for 3 trains to come before I was able to get on one. So bad that when we tried to board, it felt like I was in a stampede, people throwing elbows and shoving. So bad that Ginger was able to board the second train and I was only inches away from getting on myself, but there was just NO room left. People shoving me from behind, yelling to me and the others to get on. Ginger's train was about to leave and I was SO frustrated that I told her that I just wanted to go home and I almost started crying. And I haven't been so frustrated that I cried in I don't know how long. (Patrick could probably tell you, but I swear I don't remember) So, anyway, I stayed and made it to work in one piece. Luckily I didn't have to walk 7 blocks to get a PLAIN turkey sandwich for anyone today, so the day became much brighter. I even rode an elevator with Al Roker and got a free $40 dinner and t-shirt too. Ah, the benefits of working for free.

I just want to apoligize for that rant, but it's much cheaper than therapy. Hope you have a snow free day. =)
